COLUMBA

Columba Columba, the Dove, is outlined principally by the triangle of stars at the center of the picture. Phact, the Alpha star, is at the top of the triangle; Wazn (Beta) is the brighter of those down and to the left. At far left center, find Delta. The "runaway star" Mu Col is diagonally up and to the left of Phact. The constellation can be found below Orion and to the west of Puppis. The bright star just above Delta at the left is Furud, the Zeta star of Canis Major.
