Microscopium, the Microscope, is one of the most obscure constellations
in the sky. Its faint stars sprawl from the center toward the right
and top. The constellation's luminary, Gamma Microscopii, is the upper
left of the two brightest stars toward the upper right of the picture.
Alpha Mic is the lower right of the two. The western
stars of Piscis
Austrinus are to the upper left of the picture, while western
Grus is toward the bottom left and
northern Indus is toward bottom right.
The bright star in the lower left corner is Al Nair, Alpha Gruis,
while the bright star near the lower right is The Persian, Alpha Indi.
