WANING CRESENT MOON 26.7 DAYS OLD, 2.7 DAYS FROM NEW

moon A very thin waning crescent Moon is seen rising, north up and to the left. The terminator, here the sunset line, is so close to the eastern lumar limb that features become hard to see. The dark patch to the bottom is the crater Schiller, while Pythagoras dominates the upper end. In just 2.7 days, the Moon passes through new.
