The first magnitude stars of the setting Summer Triangle
are all seen in context:
Vega in Lyra
toward the lower right of the image, Deneb in Cygnus
to the upper right, and Altair in Aquila
to the lower left. Sagitta is up and to the right
of Altair, while Delphinus
lies above the star. Equuleus and
Pegaus are to the far left,
Draco to the far upper right. The Milky Way,
with its dark Great Rift, runs from top to bottome through the picture.
Epsilon and Zeta Cyg point leftward to
Kappa Pegasi. Just up and to the right of it is the combined image of Mu-1,2 Cygni.
Psi Cyg is the leftmost of the pair of fainter stars to the right and a bit
down from Deneb. The three fairly bright stars in a row to the right and a bit up
from Delta are from right to left Theta, Iota, and Kappa Cyg. The faint star between
Iota and Kappa is Iota-1 (7 Cyg), rendering Iota Iota-2.
