CASSIOPEIA, ANDROMEDA, PEGASUS, AND CEPHEUS
This wide-angle view shows four constellations of the Andromeda myth
seen as they rise:
Andromeda herself (the sweeps
of stars toward the bottom), her mother
Cassiopeia, the Queen (her "W" or "Chair" toward
far left center), part of Cepheus the King
(at the upper left corner), and Pegasus
the flying horse (on which Andromeda's rescuer
Perseus rode, its
Great Square seen to the right). The small fuzzy spot just down and
to the left of center is the Andromeda galaxy, M 31.
