STAR ATLAS PAGES

(Return to STARS)

The following tables link to pages from various classical star atlases that date from the time of Bayer's famed Uranometria of 1603. Though the beautifully drawn mythological figures that overlay them make them appear merely fanciful, they are scientifically accurate star maps (or are at least meant to be). The figures are there to delineate the location of the constellation and to help in the naming of stars.
