PHOENIX

Phoenix, the Phoenix or Firebird, lies at the center of the picture, and includes the bright luminary Ankaa just up and to the right of center and the prominent distorted quadrilateral to the left, which lies just above Achernar in southern Eridanus. The brighter stars down and to the left of Ankaa are respectively Beta and Gamma Phe. The eclipsing binary Zeta Phe is just above the center of the lower edge of the picture.
