CHAMAELEON

Chamaeleon, the Chamaeleon, seen rising, lies not far from the South Celestial Pole. Alpha Chamaeleontis is the brighter of the pair of stars toward upper right center. Carina is at the upper left corner, while Musca is at lower left. The bright star to the lower right is Delta Octantis, of Octans, the Octant, which hold the southern pole itself.
