Phoenix, the Phoenix or Firebird, lies at the center of the picture,
and includes the bright luminary Ankaa. The distorted box
to the left lies just above Achernar in
southern Eridanus. The eclipsing binary Zeta Phe is just above
the center of the lower edge of the picture.
